Are you a woman running a small business in Canberra with big ideas for the future?
Pitch Perfect is an exciting new initiative designed to help women-led small businesses develop the skills and confidence to pitch their business, explore growth opportunities and take the next step.
Eight Canberra businesswomen will be selected to receive professional coaching and the opportunity to showcase their business, with one winner progressing to the national final in Melbourne in March 2027.
What's involved?
Pitch Perfect combines practical coaching, pitch development and the opportunity to showcase your business.
1. Apply to participate
Complete a short online application outlining your business, your goals and why you’d like to take part.

- Complete the form and save a copy to your computer.
- Email your completed application to kate.holland@canberrabusiness.com.
2. Attend the introductory webinar for potential applicants

3. Build your pitching skills
Selected participants will receive two individual online coaching sessions with an experienced business coach to help develop a clear, confident and compelling business pitch.
4. Pitch at the Canberra Showcase
Eight selected participants will have the opportunity to deliver a five-minute pitch to a panel of judges at an in-person Canberra event in February 2027.
5. Progress to the National Final
One Canberra winner will be selected to represent the ACT at the Pitch Perfect National Final, held as part of the Women in Small Business Summit in Melbourne in March 2027.
Return travel and one night’s accommodation will be provided for the ACT winner.
Who can apply?
Pitch Perfect is open to women who:
- are aged 18 years or over
- are a founder, co-founder or owner and take an active role in operating the business
- have a business operating in Australia and an active ABN
- business has its principal place of business or substantial operations in this State or Territory
- have applied in one jurisdiction only
- if selected, can participate in two online coaching sessions and attend the in-person jurisdiction showcase
- if selected as the jurisdiction winner, can travel to Melbourne for the national final in March 2027
- is willing to complete reasonable program feedback and evaluation activities.
- You don't need previous pitching experience, and you don't need to be a Canberra Business Chamber member to apply.

How are participants selected?
Applications will be assessed against a consistent national selection framework, considering your business, growth aspirations, motivation and how you would benefit from the program.
We’re not looking for polished presenters or perfect pitches. We’re looking for women with great businesses, ambition and a willingness to learn.
Eight ACT participants will be selected to take part in the coaching and local showcase.
