Election Campaign Kicks Off with Chamber Forum

The main political parties will face off at a Pre-Election Forum hosted by the Canberra Business Chamber on Tuesday 20 August.

“There’s significant interest in what the ACT election will mean for business, and the Canberra Business Chamber will be hosting an interactive Forum for the business community to hear from the main parties,” Greg Harford, Canberra Business Chamber Chief Executive said today. “Chamber members are keen to understand how the election will influence the shape of ACT policies that impact business, and are looking forward to asking questions of the parties.”

Attending the Forum will be Mick Gentleman representing ACT Labor; Elizabeth Lee, the leader of the Canberra Liberals; Shane Rattenbury, the leader of the ACT Greens; and Thomas Emerson, leader of Independents for Canberra.

“The Forum will be held over breakfast on Tuesday 20 August. Breakfast will be served from 7.30, with the Forum itself kicking off at 8am. The Forum is being held at the Canberra Airport Theatre at 35 Brindabella Circuit.

“Anyone with an interest in ACT politics, business or the not for profit sector is welcome to attend. The Forum will be the place to be for a pre-election view of the business sector.

Tickets to cover the cost of breakfast range between $30-$40, and are available from www.canberrabusiness.com.  A short promotional video is available at: 2024 Election Forum on Vimeo
