The Pledge
As leading members of the Business Chamber community, we:
- recognise the importance of diversity and inclusion in the workplace;
- note that inclusive workplaces generally deliver better customer experiences and better business outcomes;
- pledge to establish a Disability Action Plan in our businesses to better support inclusive employment and inclusive business practices.

Establishing a Disability Action Plan is a key way of showing the community that you are striving to be an inclusive employer. People with disabilities are a big potential source of talent to help businesses who need employees, and it’s the right thing to do to be open to employing them.
3. What does a Disability Action Plan involve?
Each business will have its own Plan, outlining the steps it wants to take to be more inclusive. It’s not a one-size-fits-all approach because every business is different.
4. Is there a cost to signing up for the Pledge?
No – there’s no cost to you – but there are some real benefits to your business to be seen as an inclusive employer.
