About our Skills and Inclusion Program
Our Skills and Inclusion Program aims to change the employment landscape for people with disabilities. By fostering diversity and breaking down the attitudinal barriers in the workplace, we are helping businesses create inclusive workplaces.
The program is advised by a Disability Advisory Group, who offer their expertise and support.
What has the Chamber delivered?
The program has been running since 2022, and in that time we have helped build employer capacity to employ people with disabilities by delivering:
An event with inspiring speakers from Hotel Etico.
Three panel discussions on creating diverse and inclusive workforces.
An event for employers on hiring neurodiverse workers and a workshop on employment and retention of PWDs.
And there is more to come in 2025/26!
Our program is funded by the Australian Government, through the Information, Linkages and Capacity Building - Economic and Community Participation Program - Building Employer Confidence and Inclusion in Disability.
