In the latest quarterly Business Beat, 41 per cent of businesses reported difficulty in attracting and retaining staff. With the ACT recording the lowest unemployment rate in Australia just 3.4 per cent) – it might be time for your business to tap into new talent pools.
Did you know that around 80,000 people with disability living in the ACT? That’s 19.4 per cent of the population, or 1 in 5 people, many of whom are ready and able to contribute to your workplace but often face barriers in finding employment.
To help businesses navigate this opportunity, the Canberra Business Chamber has been running a webinar series on employing people with disability facilitated by Frances Riggs, Access and Inclusion Consultancy Manager at GetAboutAble.
