Richard Snow, Capital Property Group’s Head of Property has been appointed Chair of the Board of the Canberra Business Chamber, following the Annual General Meeting last week, and Pierre Huetter from Urban Intelligence Australia has been appointed as Deputy Chair.

“The Canberra Business Chamber has a critical role as the voice of business and private enterprise in Canberra” Mr Snow said today. “Having been on the board since 2018 I am honoured to be stepping up to chair the organisation and to be supporting Chief Executive Greg Harford and his team as we work to deliver on the goal of making Canberra the greatest place in Australia for business.

“Not only does the Chamber have a critical role in advocating for the interests of the business sector, but we also play a vital role in supporting businesses, including through connections and networking; advice for members on employment and other business issues; international trade and thought leadership.”

New Deputy Chair Pierre Huetter said that he was looking forward to playing a greater role on the Chamber’s Board. “As an owner of a new small business here in the Nation’s Capital, I understand the value that the Chamber can deliver to small business, and the importance of being part of the network.”

In other changes to the Chamber’s Board, Leanne Foresti and Craig Sloan were elected as directors of the Chamber, while Sarah Rajic, Archie Tsirimokos and Rhys Cormick have stepped down. “Sarah, Archie and Rhys have made significant contributions to the Chamber over many years, and the Board has appreciated their involvement, passion and commitment,” said Mr Snow. “All three will maintain an ongoing involvement with our work.”
