Find it in Mitchell
LRBL provided a grant to the Mitchell Traders Association to enable development of a directory website listing all 419 businesses in Mitchell. This website will create a positive digital presence for the Mitchell business community.
The website is now live! Check it out here, and keep an eye out for their facebook page as well.
In the coming weeks businesses will be invited to expand their listing and will have the opportunity to edit their profile.
Giraffe Studio who are also located in Mitchell donated about 20 hours of additional design work, and Julian Kusa, the Secretary, of Mitchell Traders Association also put in long hours to help deliver the project. These combined contributions make the FindItinMItchell website a significant asset to support the Mitchell precinct.

Have your say on buses and how they will integrate with Light Rail
ACT Government is seeking your feedback on proposed new bus routes by 12 August.
When asked what Canberrans want from public transport three key features have been consistently highlighted as priorities:
- More direct routes
- More frequent and reliable services
- Increased services for on and off peak times
Transport Canberra has been guided by this feedback and has applied a data-driven approach to design a seven day, every day modern network.

Key features of the new bus network
- Ten Rapid Routes that move residents across the City at high frequency.
- Shorter, straighter, more regular and reliable local services that connect people with their local destinations and into the Rapid Routes.
- Overall the new planned network provides greater service coverage and frequency, seven days a week at peak and off-peak times across Canberra.
Share your business sentiment
The Canberra Business Chamber has partnered with Deloitte to undertake a survey of business sentiment every six months in order to build a time series specific to the ACT.
The Canberra Small Business Survey provides valuable feedback on key issues and priorities affecting the local SME sector, and enables the Chamber to identify what needs to be advocated to Government on behalf of Canberra businesses.
This survey allows your voice to be heard and will help identify how CBC can assist local business expand and employ to help drive the region’s economy.
Is your business Rail Ready?
With testing of the light rail system now happening businesses are reminded that testing includes electrification of overhead wires and Light Rail Vehicle (LRV) testing.

CHILADA anything but -‘uniform’ kids store
Canberra business Chilada’s commitment to providing local families with choice when it comes to children’s clothing and gifts is clearly spelled out on the front of its stores in the tagline ‘Where everything is unique’.
Chilada recently relocated to Micthell from Hibberson St in Gunghalin. They also have a store in Majura Park as well as an online site that allows customers to shop from the comfort of home.

Light Rail Business Link is a program delivered by Canberra Business Chamber (CBC), working closely with the ACT Government’s Transport Canberra to build links between Government, the local business community, and Canberra Metro during the construction of Light Rail in Canberra.
