A recent consultation process has seen more than 6,000 Canberrans have their say on the future of public transport in the ACT.
The results, released in the Keeping Canberra Moving report on 21 July 2016, highlight the main priorities for the community.
Respondents provided feedback on why they use public transport, barriers to public transport patronage and called for a network that is quicker and more frequent.
Seventy-eight per cent of respondents said quicker trip times would make them likely to use public transport more often, and 69 per cent nominated timeliness as the biggest improvement needed.
The consultation also asked people to consider what they want from a light rail network. Based on the views expressed, the top four light rail corridors identified for expanding the light rail network are: Airport, Belconnen, Parliamentary Zone and Woden.
