What is the Employer Advice line?
The Employer Advice Line provides members with access to employment law experts who will provide you with informed and tailored advice via phone or email.
What kind of advice can the Employer Advice Line provide?
Our team can assist you with any employment query you may have; understanding Awards, pay and conditions, developing best practice policies and procedures to get the most out of your team, and supporting you to effectively resolve difficult workplace issues like ending employment.
What about more complex matters?
As some complex issues are beyond the scope of the advice line, we offer consultancy services at highly competitive, member-only pricing.
Our team can help with anything from a full review of your workplace policies and procedures, training for your managers, to developing your own workplace agreements.

Who can access the Employer Advice Line?
The Advice line is a service available to Business, Kindred, Corporate and Principal members of the Canberra Business Chamber, as well as all members who have purchased an Employer Assist Premium package.
- Principal and Corporate members can have up to 10 enquiries or up to 2 hours per year.
- Business and Kindred membership includes 5 calls or up to 1 hour per year.
- Employer Assist Premium Members receive unlimited access to the Employer Advice Line and other premium support services.
What is the Employer Assist Premium Service?
The Employer Assist Premium Service is our bespoke service for Employers who would prefer an additional level of personalised support from our Employer Assist team.
Our Premium Service provides unlimited access to the Employer Advice Line, as well as regular employment law email updates and workplace ‘healthchecks’, amongst other things.
Members who add the Employer Assist Premium Service to their membership can expect a personalised and tailored level of support from our advisors, including on request, workplace visits in which our advisors will take the time to sit down with you and understand your business and what you want to achieve with your staff.

- Up to 20 employees – $66 per month ($792 per annum)
- 20-40 employees – $143 per month ($1,716 per annum)
- 40+ employees – Bespoke package with price on application
