Australia Week in China – 11 to 15 April 2016

19 February 2016

China is Australia’s largest two-way trading partner in both goods and services, importing more Australian goods than any other country. The singing of the China Australia Free Trade Agreement (ChAFTA) has enhanced and strengthened our economic ties and significantly expanded commercial opportunities for Australian and Canberra businesses.

National Program
Australia Week in China (AWIC) will run from the 11-15th of April and will promote trade, investment, education and tourism through focused events designed to highlight commercial opportunities underpinned by the rise of an affluent middle class and the signing of ChAFTA. The week will be led by The Minister for Trade and Investment, and will be held in many cities across China before all delegates come together in Shanghai.

Team Canberra in Market
ACT Government in partnership with Canberra Business Chamber will provide additional support and activities for Canberra Region businesses attending AWIC. A Team Canberra event in Shanghai will give participants an opportunity to connect with new or leverage existing relationships at an exclusive Team Canberra event.
